Second appointment

Today was our second appointment with TBW. Kevin couldn't make it, so it was just my mom and I. At the last minute, Uncle Winston joined us as he was to have dinner with us later. Maybe I shouldn't have invited him to come along, he's really quite a bossy person. Well, anyway...

I tried on the wedding gown design I chose as my mom hadn't seen it. Then I tried on several evening gowns for the colour. We finally settled on a two-tone green silk fabric.

The above took a great deal of time though I succintly whittled the whole process down to three bald statements with no embellishments. There were at least three different opinions trying to make themselves heard at any one time.

So much so that after we left the place, I realised we forgot to take my measurements, which was what we were supposed to do at the second appointment!

Panic ensues.

========================

We've fixed the next appointment for Friday 2 December at Sophia's home.

When I spoke to Ronn on the phone, she informed me that she will no longer operate from the shop premises as she is retiring to part-time work due to stress. She offered to let us keep the MTM evening gown FOC as a gesture of goodwill and suggested a possibility that we may be allowed to keep the MTM wedding gown FOC, praise God. She assured us that she will honour the contract.

TBW appointment changed

Tomorrow's 1.00pm appointment with The Bridal Wardrobe has been changed to Wednesday 23 November, 7.00pm as Ronn just had her eye operation (Lasik?).

It's not too late, is it? I'm a tiny bit worried... :p

Measurement of a dream

May's going to be sized up for her dream gown (or gown that makes her look dreamy), tomorrow at 1pm. While I'll be away somewhere else, attending a friend's (ex-colleague) wedding lunch around the same hour. :)

Decor article

Ok, you get married, you moved in together. Two different people, merging of two different styles. What happens? Do you fight nail and teeth just to have your own space? Space is of a premium, so both needs to compromise a little. Here's an interesting article on such a dilemma that comes with moving in together.

Dear Uncle Peter

I think it was in June when I first contacted Uncle Peter, Sophia's Uncle. Peter was also the agent who got them (Dave and Soph) their current residence. My first impression of that man left me feeling very assured and confident. He was obliging and provided good suggestions and solutions along the way. He was prompt, patient and responsible in acceding to our requests. It made the house hunt a lot less intimidating and more fun. He was good to talk to, and as person, very inspiring as well. Laughs a hearty laugh and is rather easy-going so it seems.

Nonetheless, his services rendered was nothing short of excellent. I thank God that I am blessed to have dealt with such a person rather than engaging one off the classifieds like that. :)

Peter Soh can be contacted at 9682 3583. I believe he specialises in private property also (from what I can recall).
