Shooter found
Yes, we found our serial shooter. In a corner of Bukit Timah, hidden away from plain view. There he was, with a great disposition and an awesome personality; he's warm and chatty. He's now our hired "gun". 300 "rounds" of photographic mayhem. I believe May got really comfortable with him and so was I.
He showed us the coffee table albums, and he does indeed have a rather keen eye and a good sense of composition and a creative flair. (However, we believe he should stick to his day job of photography and not do any copywriting, at all :P ) Anyway, I'm meeting him this evening to sign an agreement between both of us and to put down a deposit.
He's ours. Muuuuuahahahaha.
On other fronts; after a month of patient waiting, I believe it's time to look into other areas, like Redhill and Jalan Bukit Merah. Had a short phone conversation with him earlier this money and expressed our desire to cast our nets wider now. According to what I understand of our conversation, I believe that we might be able to get a 4rm under 200k. We'll see, Uncle Peter will come back to us next week.

Hi Kev! Remember that I mention to you that I passed by this old generation of 3-room flats in the form of semi-detached houses along Queenstown? It's called Stirling Road, ranges from blk 58 - 44.
You might want to check out the area. quite quaint and unique, no harm taking a look. Queenstown quite accessible too. very near the MRT and food centres as well. Still considered central.
Have fun house shopping! Let me know when you both are due to view some units, might wanna kay-poh and tag along =)
That's a little beyond the 2km mark...
Yeah I know which ones you are talking about. It's a very curious little area with "flats" built like semi-d's. Interesting but practical? Not sure. I saw one on sale some time back. Don't know if that's still for sale or not.
There's two units on sale which I saw the poster with some agent contact on it. It'll be wise to bring it up to Uncle Peter and ask him to check on it for you, or if there's any unit in the newspapers that might interest you, let him know and let him call on your behalf. From past experiences when we went ahead to call without an agent, the agents on the papers not quite willing for you to bring along your agent. So it's wiser to let Uncle Peter know which unit and all and he'll do the prep work for you.
