Of Mattresses and Venues
On the way to meet May's family for dinner last night we walked right through Millenia Walk. Harvey Norman was having a Premium Mattress Sale...
3 brands were on display, namely: Sealy, Setra and Dunlop... I like the idea of having additional storage; that is a bedframe with a compartment right beneath. It pretty much works like a car-boot. But that frame is only limited to one brand of mattress. Gee. How annoying. But nonetheless, we've got a week to decide (deal ends 23rd May). Hard to say no to 40% discount (with GST already factored into the price) on a plushy orthopedic mattress, +2 pillows and a bedframe (16 colors to choose from). Good thing is we can choose to pay a deposit upfront to secure the price first and when we need it to be delivered, we'll just pay up the rest...
Oh yes, made a call to Merchant Court today. Made an appointment with catering dept. So we're going down this Friday or next Tuesday. We'll see how that goes but we're pretty much decided on the hotel already. :)

Hi Beloveds!
Really nice wedding blog you have up here.
ANyway, don't worry so much about the mattresses. Does Any of your parents have got the Robinson Card?? Why not look out for the Robinson sale??? They give quite a good deal.
If I remember correctly, our mattress we got for 35 - 40% off, and on top of that, we had another $200 off, and on top of that Robinson card holders have a 5% rebate off the price and pay by installments.
We got the SIMMONS brand...and the divan which you mention with storage space, it's a different brand - King Koil. heh heh heh. so now you know. DOn't have to rush for Harvey Normans one.
Yes, my mom has Robinsons card. But when is the Robinsons sale? Isn't it only once/twice a year? Maybe we can look out for it. If we use my mom's Robinsons card, she has to be with us when we shop, as the cardholder needs to sign for the transaction. She can help us make a better choice; we have no experience in buying beds. Robinsons has a wide selection of home furnishings, and I suspect they're cheaper than Harvey Norman too.
Actually, I'd really like a Sealy Posturepedic mattress. Apparently, my Vono one is out of production :(
Harlow! Hmmmm, well, Robinsons usually send out mailers to inform card members of any sale coming up. There should be one coming up in June/July - Great Singapore sale. good to look out. Check with your mom, ask her to inform you the moment she gets any mailers.
Oh yeah, forgot about the Great Singapore Sale! Ha ha ha. Ok, I'll look out for Robinsons mailers, and then Kevin and I can go bed shopping with my mom. Yay! Hey, I just thought of something: Robinsons only sells mattresses, right? So we still have to get the bed from somewhere else?
